Railside Citrus Insurance Agency is a young, exciting independent agency located in the far western Chicago suburb of Elburn. Our agency is owned by an experienced, successful insurance insurance agent, Dave Broz.

We are a small office, and we are growing! We are always looking for friendly people who like to help others.

Customer Service Representative (CSR)

Customer Service Representatives play a key role in our agency’s growth and reputation. Here are the basic job duties:

  • Day-to-day customer service of commercial accounts – answering coverage and billing questions, completing policy changes etc.
  • Processing requests for certificates of insurance – including reading contracts to verify coverage and issuing any endorsements needed to comply with the COI requests.
  • Marketing of commercial accounts for both new business and renewals.
  • Keeping customer files up-to-date in our agency management system.

Candidates must be friendly, genuine people who smile and:

  • Like to help business owners!
  • Have current Illinois insurance licenses for Property & Casualty Insurance.
  • Be proficient in Word and Outlook.
  • Be able to manage multiple projects/deadlines/accounts.
  • Finish tasks!
  • Work comfortably in a paperless, online environment
  • Have a minimum of 2 years experience as a commercial CSR or Account Manager at an independent agency.

Sales/Insurance Agent

We’re growing, and looking to add to our agency sales force. The job of an insurance agent can be extremely rewarding – we get to help people every day.

The basic job duties of an insurance agent include:

  • Soliciting and writing new business.
  • Maintaining friendly and professional relationships with clients, prospects and our partners within the industry.
  • Obtaining and maintaining the appropriate insurance licenses.
  • Committing to continuous learning and personal growth within the industry.
  • Working closely with insurance companies and our internal customer service department to service accounts.
  • Hitting goals and deadlines for insurance renewals and service requests.

If you’re outgoing and love helping people, then read on. Candidates for our agency sales force must be:

  • Friendly, genuine, honest and ethical.
  • Willing to give back to the community.
  • Flexible with their work schedule, which could include days, nights and weekends.
  • Able to drive to appointments – a valid drivers license is required.
  • Successful meeting goals without continuous supervision.
  • Comfortable with technology and working in a web-based, paperless office environment.
  • Be proficient in Word and Outlook.
  • Able to manage many projects, accounts and files.
  • Prior experience as an insurance agent is strongly preferred.
