Who owns Railside Citrus Insurance Agency?

We were founded by and remain locally owned by agent Dave Broz. He opened the business in downtown Elburn, Illinois in 2015. We continue to serve clients at that location, plus at offices in Naperville and St. Charles.

Where did the name come from?

The “Railside” represents the locations of our Elburn and Naperville offices which happen to be near railroad tracks, and our St. Charles location which once was a railroad station!  The “Citrus” is a play on words, representing our fresh approach to insurance. We protect the fruits of your labor.

How long have you been in business?

We have been in operation since 2015.

What does an independent insurance agency do?

Do I make a claim with you or call the insurance company directly?

Contact us to file a claim.  We’ll offer advice and put your best interest first. Plus, we’ll ensure the claim process is as simple as possible. For emergencies or after our regular business hours (Monday to Friday, 8:00 am – 5:00 pm), we suggest calling the insurance company’s 800 number.

What is umbrella insurance?

How do I pay for my insurance? 

We will guide you on how to setup automatic payments directly with your insurance company.  Many of our insurance companies will allow you to make payments through a web portal or app.  

Note: If you have a late payment or tight timeline for a payment, we recommend calling your insurance company directly or making the payment online. 

Pro tip: Always get a receipt or confirmation number when you make a payment. Leaving payment information on a voicemail does not guarantee that the company processed your payment!
